Key Club Collects Care Packages

This month, the EHHS Key Club ran a Care Package Drive for deployed soldiers in Afghanistan. They worked with Jordan's Initiative, a local charity in Sag Harbor, to supply deployed troops with individual care packages.

Jordan's Initiative was established by Christian Haerter, Jordan's dad, shortly after Jordan's death in Iraq in 2008 as a way to honor his life and to provide a way to keep his spirit and compassionate heart alive through charitable works within the community. On Monday, April 22nd, the five-year anniversary of Jordan's death, Andrea Hernandez and the Key Clubbers packed thousands of snacks and toiletries into 33 boxes. Each box was accompanied by a letter and picture from an EHHS student.
