Two Weekend Benefits for Local Families

Two events benefit the Wright family and the Mansir family.

The East Hampton High School Dance Company is sponsoring a talent show on Friday, Dec. 14, to benefit Laini and Kiah Wright, E.H.H.S. graduates who lost their mother, Dee, in Hurricane Sandy. Dance team coaches Lea Bryant, Tracee Van Brunt, and Andrea Hernandez hope that the community will show up in droves to show support for the girls. All proceeds will go directly to Laini, a former dance team member, and Kiah. The fun begins at 7 p.m. at the high school, with performances by talented students, dance and chorus groups, and even a few teachers! Tickets to the event are $5.

The East Hampton High School Key Club is running a bowl-a-thon on Sunday, Dec. 16, to raise money for the family of Tara Mansir. Mrs. Mansir, a Springs mother, passed away this fall and the Key Club, along with the East Hampton Kiwanis, are offering assistance. The lanes will be open for this event at East Hampton Bowl from 1 to 4 p.m., and will cost $10 an hour (including shoes). All are welcome to participate. For lane reservations, contact Andrea Hernandez at the school or at (516) 383-1674.
