Singing and Shuffling for Cupid

The East Hampton Middle School presents two events this week to celebrate Valentine's Day -- a concert and a "shuffle."

Are you in the mood for love? Or, maybe, fun? If so, two events at the East Hampton Middle School may tickle your fancy this week.

On Wednesday night, the seventh and eighth grade chorus will present an evening of love songs, new and old, at the Valentine Cabaret Show in the Middle School auditorium. The event begins at 7 p.m., and the tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

If you're looking for something a little more active, the EHMS Dance Team are putting on the first annual Cupid Shuffle on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Just a short .75 mile run or walk around the school for folks of all ages, the event also offers up goodie bags and prizes for "capturing the flag" from the running cupids who will also participate. To find out more about this event or download an entry form, go to www.bonacdance.com, or show up between 8 and 8:45 a.m. to register at the Middle School. The suggested donation is $5.
