EHHS Students Sing in Dallas

On Saturday, March 16, East Hampton High School students Georgia Bennett (pictured left) and Catharine Fleming (pictured right) performed at the American Choral Directors Association national convention in Dallas, Texas. Catharine, a freshman, was selected for the National Junior High School Honors Choir and Georgia, a sophomore, was selected for the National High School Honors Choir on the basis of taped auditions they submitted last year. The pair began rehearsals in Dallas last Wednesday morning with singers from across the country under the direction of two of the top choral directors in the field. Melanie Mesiano, the East Hampton Middle School Chorus teacher, accompanied the girls to Dallas.
