Play Tennis for The Retreat

Hampton Racquet Club in Wainscott hosts Pro/Am round robin tournament and other activities on Sunday.

The Hampton Racquet Club will join the organizations that are hosting events to raise money for , the East End's only domestic violence agency.

A Pro/Am round robin tournament, as well as clinics and other activities for the kids, will be held the Wainscott tennis club on Sunday at 2 p.m.   

The tennis tournament is for players of all ages and all skill sets. Tennis pros will give clinics and there will be a program for younger children on the customized smaller courts. There will be a practice wall, too. Children can enjoy face painting, a Bouncy Castle and a natural log playground. A complimentary BBQ rounds out the afternoon.

“With domestic violence on the rise, this fundraiser could not come at a more important time. We are very grateful to John and Monica Graham for their generosity and kindness to east end families,” said Jeffrey Friedman, the Retreat’s executive director.

Hampton Racquet Club founder and well-known tennis pro, John Graham, and his sister, philanthropist Monica Graham, have been supporters of The Retreat for many years, according to a statement from the tennis club.

Advanced registration is highly suggested. Donations are tax-deductible.

The costs is $200 for the Pro-Am, $100 for clinics and $50 for spectators, with a maximum cost of $100 per family though kids under 12 can watch for free.
