Naturopathica Will Host Fundraising Event Friday for LI2Day Walk

Spa will donate $5 from every treatment to the Heaven Can Wait team after one of its members had money she raised stolen from her home.

Naturopathic Spa is lending its support to LI2Day Walk event in support of a Springs woman.

The East Hampton spa is turning one of its East End Friday events into a fundraiser for the "Heaven Can Wait" team, a group of 70 East End women who raised $100,000 for Southampton Hospital's Hermansen Breast Center last year.

Naturopathica will donate $5 from all massages and facials to the team. Customers can also enjoy 20 percent off all massages and facials and 20 percent off Naturopathica products. Naturopathica will serve baked goods on Friday from its neighbor, Red Horse Market.

Over the past two years, Naturopathica has been hosting monthly events at the spa where part of the daily proceeds are donated to a local charity or non-profit organization, such as the Peconic Land Trust, The Retreat, the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons and Project MOST.

"To kick off the season this year we have decided to host the event on Friday of Memorial Day weekend," said Ryann Brennan, the spa director, who added they chose the “Heaven Can Wait” team after hearing that some of the proceeds raised for the team had been stolen. "There are a few members of the team that are spa clients, in particular Chris Foran," she said.

Foran, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer, reported $2,000 stolen from her house in Springs earlier this month. "She is a loyal client and when we heard about her break-in a few weeks back and some of the donations for the team that she had received from friends, family and clients were stolen. We wanted to try and help," Brennan said.
