Memorial Day Weekend Kicks Off Summer in the Hamptons

Summer in the Hamptons gets off to a rousing start next weekend with Memorial Day Parades, great music, the Montauk Artists Association annual art show, a family kite fly and more. Here’s a rundown of Memorial Day weekend events you won’t want to miss:•The 6th Annual Montauk Art Show on the Montauk Green begins from 12-6 p.m. Friday, May 24 and continues from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The juried show features original artwork from around the world with numerous artists in attendance creating handmade pieces during the event. This is a great opportunity to pick up paintings, prints, table sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and outdoor garden art to give your Hampton’s home a unique flair.•Enjoy live music while you sample the new pairings menu at Memorial Day Weekend at Palmer Vineyards in Aquebogue. Live music, premium wines and gourmet food trucks will be on hand from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, 1-4 p.m. Sunday and 1-5 p.m. Monday.•Kites for a Cure will fill the skies over Coopers Beach in Southampton with rainbow colors from 4-6 p.m. Saturday (rain date Sunday).
