Great New Year in Hamptons Real Estate

By all accounts it was a great 2012 4th quarter in Hamptons real estate, especially at Sotheby’s International Realty. Several of our agents, (including yours truly), closed on 8 figure deals in December alone, a couple of which will probably make the top of the list for 2012. Opinions vary as to the reason for the 4th quarter successes, (tax increases, fiscal cliff, sellers becoming more reasonable, buyers becoming more reasonable), but one thing for certain it is full speed ahead for 2013. I have 3 closings scheduled for January 2013, and am working a few other deals that should come to fruition. I have also heard from other high end luxury brokers that their activity is similar. So stay tuned, I am predicting a great 2013 in Hamptons Real Estate.
