Party Patter: Fabulousy Frugel Holiday Party Ideas
- The economy might be draining your budget, but it doesn't mean you still can't have an elegant party. You can have a Champagne party on a beer budget you just need to use your imagination.
Pull out all your holiday decorations and place around the house, and don't forget to add aome decorations at your front door. You don't need to spend alot of money, just go outside your home and cut clippings from your boxwood or holly bushes You can even take a trip to the homedepots around the area. Some of them save all the leftovers after they cut their trees, plus the tree stumps. Believe it or not its FREE! You can also take a walk around your neighboorhood I'm sure you can find some pinecones along the way, use them along with some greenery to make table decorations.
What should you have to drink ? Beer & wine are the cheapest way to go. But maybe you might want to add a signature drink such as a Snowman martini. P.S. check next weeks blog for the recipe..yummy!
Skip the filet mignon and have an appetizer party instead. This has been the trend for the past couple of years.Have your friends bring one of their favorite appetizers along with the recipe to share, while you put together a simple cheese & meat tray or a vegetable platter. It might even be a good idea to have a recipe swap. This might give everyone some new recipes to try for future upcoming parties that they may have.
