We've all seen summer residents from the city tussling over that last heirloom tomato at Round Swamp Farm or yelling at each other over a parking spot outside of Waldbaum's. Maybe something about life in the city gets folks belligerent and spoiling for a fight. In any case, check out what happened when NYC's Finest went up against NYC's Bravest at their annual charity hockey game at Nassau Coliseum yesterday.
With the score tied at 3 in the second period, the FDNY and NYPD found themselves in a bench-clearing brawl. As Deadspin reports: "Cops and firefighters were beating the crap out of each other."
According to The New York Post the brawl led to a 25 minute delay during which some partisan fans could be heard chanting "PD sucks, PD sucks."
Nevertheless, the cops went on to win 8-5.
