Save the Date: 'Speak Up For Earth'

Readings will celebrate Earth Day.

Canio's in Sag Harbor will host an Earth Day celebration on April 20.

Part of its Canio's Cultural Cafe, "Speak Up For Earth" will include readings from great nature writers that express concern for the earth, like Henry David Thoreau, Rachel Carson, Wendell Berry, Barry Commoner and Carl Safina.

Community members, such as the poet George Held, publisher James Monaco, and the Rev. Alison Cornish of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Fork, will read excerpts.
