Report: Amagansett Artist's 'Porno Paintings' Causing a Stir

Nick Weber told The New York Post kids are exposed to much worse.

A Manhattan gallery exhibiting a South Fork artist's sexually explicit paintings is coming under fire, The New York Post reports.

Nick Weber's "Porno Paintings," which is inspired by scenes from Internet pornography, has caused a stir amongst parents walking past Windows Gallery on Orchard Street with their children to PS 42. The canvases can be seen from the street.

Weber has a studio in Amagansett.

Since the exhibit went up two weeks ago, school officials, parents, and a nearby church have lodged complaints about the images, which include threesomes and hardcore pornographic scenes. The police have even come to the gallery, although an NYPD spokesperson wasn't aware of the complaints.

Weber told The Post kids are exposed to much worse on television and defended his art.
