Plum TV Goes Off Air

No warning as Hamptons television station stops broadcasting.

Plum Hamptons, part of a lifestyle television network that broadcast in affluent communities, went off air recently with no warning.

Now when cable viewers tune to channel 18, a blue screen comes up with the message, "Important customer update. Plum TV has ceased operations and is no longer available. ..."

Martha's Vineyard Patch reports that the Plum there has also gone of air.

In January 2012 it was learned that Plum TV Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and was being sold off to an investment group. Then that March, LXTV co-founders Joseph Varet and Morgan Hertzan announced an agreement to purchase the network.

Plum's social media accounts went silent in late April and plumtv.com appears not to have been updated since April 6.
