PHOTOS: Richard Gere, Alec Baldwin on Red Carpet for Hamptons Film Fest

Baldwin hosts "A Conversation with Richard Gere" at Guild Hall.

The Hamptons International Film Festival honored Richard Gere with The Golden Starfish Award for Lifetime Achievement in Acting on Saturday night, preceded by a discussion at Guild Hall in East Hampton moderated by Alec Baldwin.

On the red carpet with Gere and Baldwin were Baldwin's wife, Hilaria Thomas, and Nicholas Jarecki, the writer and director of Gere's new project, "Arbitrage." Also joining them was Stuart Match Suna, the executive director of the film festival.

sorry Richard Gere. Some of us will never forget what you said one week after 9/11 that we should all move on and forgive those Who attacked us, I and millions more will never ever forget!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine is a waitress in town at a small diner in Patchogue, and she got a pic with him. But I strongly agree with Oonald, I still cannot believe he said that after 9/11 , that totally changed my opinion of him forever.

I enjoyed the evening and thankful for arriving 75 miniuts early and we got the last seats inthe balcony.I felt so sorry for all the people behind us who had tickets but did not get in.
