On the Town: The Parrish Art Museum's Spring Benefit

The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill kicked off the season with their annual Spring Fling benefit. More than 350 guests attended.

The galleries were open and everyone was encouraged to wander about spurred on by a game conceived of by the museum's education department. It was a variation of "scavenger hunt":  Questions were posed on a card with a strip of photos as additional clues. Guests formed teams and looked for work by artists from the museum's galleries such as Fairfield Porter, Robert Dash, Roy Lichtenstein and Dennis Oppenheim.

There was dancing to the music of Noiz as well as a photo booth that produced glamorous little laminated keepsakes of the evening.

The money raised by the event will help underwrite the Parrish's programming including a survey of Amagansett painter Jennifer Bartlett's work opening April 27.
