National Geographic to Host 90's Themed Party in Montauk

The National Geographic Channel is hosting a 1990s-themed party to celebrate their upcoming mini-series documenting the era, on Thursday night at Sloppy Tuna in Montauk. All are invited according to the invitation which features photographs of President Bill Clinton playing the saxophone, Tupac Shakur, Axl Rose and the boxer Mike Tyson.

Guests are encouraged to dress in period costume and the costumes will be judged. The winners will be given bar tab prizes.

The event will be hosted by Robert Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice, the Florida rapper who topped the charts with “Ice, Ice, Baby” in 1989. In 2009, he began hosting “The Vanilla Ice Project” on the DIY network and he continues to perform and record.
