1. The is gearing up for the start of its on Saturday. Kimble Humiston, a Humanities Scholar, will be giving six multimedia presentations through May. This week is the first in the series of six, and the topic is will be the Ancient World and the Humanist Tradition.

2. Since this requires some planning, we thought we'd include the new that meets on Friday in Thursday's roundup. It's a new program, sponsored by , to help non-Jewish women raising Jewish children. Leah Oppenheimer, the director of the Hebrew School, and Dasee Berkowitz, the temple's educational consultant will lead the group that meets at a private home at 10 a.m. Call ahead for directions.

3. It's Thursday, so that means the weekly at . Musicians looking to practice or network can show up at 7 p.m. Listeners are welcome too.
