The 7th Annual Live on the Vine Winterfest will be held in 2014 from Feb. 8 through March 16 in vineyard tasting rooms, hotels and other East End venues.
Previously dubbed "Jazz on the Vine," the festival has a new name and a new vision for the coming months, with musical offerings expanded to include blues, soul and country.
Live on the Vine is a collaborative effort between East End Arts, the Long Island Wine Council, and The Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau with support from Suffolk County under the auspices of the Office of Film & Cultural Affairs.
The music festival receives its chief sponsorship from Suffolk County National Bank.
“On behalf of SCNB, we are proud to present the 2014, award-winning Live on the Vine," Michael R. Orsino, Executive Vice President and chief lending officer of Suffolk County National Bank said. "This program promotes a partnership and collaboration between the arts and business segments that strengthens the East End economy. It is a pleasure to showcase our communities on the East End as we welcome thousands of visitors."
Orsino said visitors come from as far as New York and beyond to experience the area's wine, music and other amenities during the off season.
A Live on the Vine Winterfest preview event will be hold on Oct. 18 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Bistro 72, in the Hotel Indigo East End, located at 1830 West Main Street, Route 25 in Riverhead. The event will feature live music with Anthony Pravata & Jon March. The show is free to attend and open to the public.
