Kelly Bensimon Gets Down With Mystery

The "Real Housewives" reads "Nancy Drew" to readers at BookHampton.

Every year celebrates spring with ","  a weekend of mystery writers and events. On Saturday, Real Housewives of New York star, model, and East Hampton homeowner Kelly Killoren Bensimon kicked off the series by reading one of the best known books of one of the most beloved mystery writers for young adults, Nancy Drew. Bensimon started out the reading with The Secret of the Old Clock, and then young readers got up and took turns at the microphone.

I LOVE Bookhampton and all the fun things they do... however, I'm a tad perplexed about a "real housewife" being a smart choice or the best fit for such a wonderful opportunity in reading to kids....I think we can do better for some positive, classy role models for our kids. There are plenty of women out here doing great things who deserve the promotion-- how about a scientist or an actual local female detective? While I understand the need for the publicity draw... I still say "hmmmm... I think you can do better." Thumbs down on this one.

Sorry to say, but we here think it is pathetic the lengths Kelly Bensimon will go to just to seem relevant. This female will stop at nothing. Bensimon wants to be like Bethenny Frankel sooo bad, that now she is, what sounds to us, making up that she was abused. Isnt it convenient that when she cant get anywhere with all her failed ventures and made-up educational accomplishments, she now is GOING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS AFTER ALL THIS TIME and claiming how bad of a past life she has had (when all she talks about is how "real she is " and "what a wonderful life she created",also Bethenny from day one said about the bad childhood she had.). This all comes on the heels of Bensimon announcing she has a book coming out....Hmmm? and isnt is funny that her book basically has a Bethenny Frankel feel to it. These women of RHONY need to go and I hope Bravo is on the look out to replace them all!!!!

How fitting that Kelly Bensimon would chose to read a book that she probably read as a 12-year-old girl, you know, in 1979. Which coincidentally is her mental and emotional age. Something terrible happened to this woman in 1979 and she just stopped growing (except physically). Isn't that why she's always saying "emotions are so 1979"? I am still going with the gender reassignment surgery. Nancy Drew and the Mystery of the Very Large, Man-shaped Woman.
