Joy Behar Hosts Bay Street Theatre's All Star Honors Benefit

Michael Grim, Ana Daniel, Jim Osburn and David Bray honored.

Bay Street Theatre board member Joy Behar, a comedian and co-host of "The View," hosted the nonprofit theater's second annual All Star Honors benefit on Saturday, which recognized four Hamptons Hometown Heroes.

Taking place at East Hampton Point on Three Mile Harbor, the dinner and ceremony honored David Bray, Ana R. Daniel, Michael Grim and James Osburn, who all support Bay Street as well as other local businesses and nonprofits, according to the theater.

Bray is an original member of Bay Street's board and a founding partner of real estate firm Allan Schneider Associates, which is now part of Corcoran.

Ana R. Daniel is the founding chairman of Bay Street's board of trustees and the current interim chair.

Michael Grim and James Osburn, the owners of Bridgehampton Florist, donate their time and services to the theater and others, according to Bay Street.

“This dedicated group of people has done incredible things for all of us at the theatre as well as for the community,” Bay Street Theatre Executive Director Tracy Mitchell said. “These people are more than just patrons. They are incredible and dedicated community members. Full, disclosure, our honorees are like family to me. My daughter refers to them as Uncle David, Uncle Michael, Uncle James and Fairy Godmother Ana.”

Behar gave remarks on the honorees' dedication.   “Places like Bay Street are a staple in the Hamptons community and if we ever let Bay Street Theatre disappear we would be doing ourselves a disservice,” Behar said.

U.S. Rep. Tim Bishop, of Southampton, sent a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition to the honorees, the theater stated.
