Turning Art into Action

Creative locals and students from Springs School are turning art into action through Artist For the East End, a new art  group organized by Cynthia Loewen that will support enviornmental protection.  The group's first public appearance will feature its founding members and will be held on Friday, December 3rd at Ashawagh Hall in Springs.  Artwork inspired by the beautiful East End will be sold through a silent auction and students from Springs School who participate in the Group for the East End's TERN program will share poetry, photo's and art work influenced by their time outdoor's with the program's enviornmental teachers.  20% of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Group for the East End and everyone attending is encouraged to bring a covered dish or non-alcoholic beverage which will be shared.  If you are interested in attending this event, please contact Cynthia Loewen,  cloewen@aol.com or Judy Christrup, jchristrup@eastendenviornment.org 631-765-6450, ext. 215.
