THE OLDEST, BUT STILL THE FAIREST
IN EAST HAMPTON:
A FAIR OF FUN, GAMES & FOOD GALORE!
East Hampton, NY --- Staged every summer for more than 125 years, The St. Luke’s Fair will open again on August 4 with fun and games for children of all ages. Added to this year’s fair will be a mouth-watering assortment of dishes all prepared from the recipes found in the popular Favorites of St. Luke’s cookbook (which
will be on sale at the fair). Whatever one’s taste, there will be dishes to delight the palates of sophisticated gourmands as well as those of children whose smiles will be triggered by hot dogs and hamburgers. At the food stalls
will be delicious homemade treats and frozen to-go
meals plus classic grilled food, a clam and beer bar. And for vegans and other health conscious consumers, there will be fresh veggies from the best local
farm stands. What more could one ask!
And St. Luke’s has not forgotten
the less fortunate members of the community: As part of its outreach, St. Luke’s will donate a portion of the sale price of cooked dishes from Favorites of St. Luke’s to Maureen’s Haven to feed the area’s homeless.
In addition to a plethora of tasty treats, there will be a
silent auction, where one can bid on a sunset cocktail cruise around Gardiners Island, a weekend at the luxurious Maidstone hotel and restaurant, a South
Beach condo vacation, and much more.
For children, there will be pony
rides, face painting, games galore, a bouncing castle, apron decorating, and entertainment.
There will also be enough vintage
clothing to dress several costume dramas, a barn sale of antiques and memorabilia from attics and jewelry boxes, and the kind of gorgeous plants that
made the Garden of Eden so tempting (serpent not included).
So, come to the Fair on Saturday August 4th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the lawn at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 18 James Lane, East Hampton (across from the green on Main Street). For further information,
one can call 631-329-0990.
