The John Drew Theater at Guild Hall, the Hamptons International Film Festival and The Film Society of Lincoln Center present a special screening of Babette’s Feast
In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the New York Film Festival, Babette’s Feast will be presented by the Hamptons International Film Festival, Guild Hall and The Film Society of Lincoln Center. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of its screening at the New York Film Festival, this winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film is considered to be the quintessential cinematic ode to gastronomy. Building to the triumphant scene of a feast by an exiled French master chef, the film is based on the short novel by Isak Dinesen, best known for also writing Out of Africa. Join special guests for a discussion after the screening and a culinary treat, courtesy of Babette's Restaurant. Happy 50th Birthday, New York Film Festival!
