"Rock the Dock," a summer gala benefit for will take place on the Long Wharf starting at 6:30 p.m. It will be hosted by True Blood's Chris Bauer, Richard Kind of Spin City and Curb Your Enthusiasm and Tony and Oscar-winning actress Mercedes Ruehl. Money raised will support programming all year long.
There will be cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, silent and live auctions (Kind will serve as the auctioneer), and a sit-down dinner catered by Sterling Affair Caterers. DJ Tom Finn will provide the music. The Street Beats Group, an urban dance and percussion group, will perform.
Auction items will include a week stay for four in a luxury villa in St. Bart’s provided by Wimco, a walk on role in Enter Laughing, the musical, at Bay Street in August,opening night tickets and after party for Broadway’s 2012 production of Evita with Ricky Martin, among others.
