Evening Benefit - Nazi Invasion of the Hamptons

The true story of the World War II landing of Nazi
saboteurs from a U-Boat in Amagansett will be told in a screenplay
reading of "Nazi Invasion of the Hamptons" to benefit the restoration of
the historic Atlantic Beach Life Saving
Station.
"Nazi Invasion of the Hamptons" follows the saboteurs to New
York City as FBI agents frantically search for them. The screenplay by
veteran movie and TV writer-producer Peter Koper was commissioned by the
Berlin-Brandenburg Film Fund and is being developed as a motion picture.
Performances are on Saturday, June 11 at the Mulford Farm
Barn, 10 James Lane in East Hampton Village. Tickets for a 2 p.m. show
are $50. Tickets for the 7 p.m. performance are $150 and include a food
and wine reception at 5:30 p.m.. For tickets and information, call (631)
324-6850.
Proceeds will go to restoring the 109 year-old Amagansett
Life Saving Station on Atlantic Beach, which played a pivotal role in
the story as a Coast Guardsman stationed there spotted the Nazis.
The reading is presented by Save the Life Saving Station
Fund, organized by the East Hampton Historical Society, and sponsored by
the Amagansett Farmers Market, Amagansett Wines and Spirits, and
Stuart's Seafood Market.
