Citizens for Access Rights “CfAR” and Hamptons Drive-In Host Family Outdoor Movie Night

The recently formed group Citizens for Access Rights or CfAR (www.citizensforaccessrights.com) and Hamptons Drive-In will host Family Outdoor Movie Night on Thursday, July 14th (raindate July 21st) at Maidstone Park Ball Field (Maidstone Park Road, East Hampton).  The featured movie will be The Goonies. The Goonies is a 1985 American adventure-comedy film directed by Richard Donner. The screenplay was written by Chris Columbus from a story by executive producer Steven Spielberg. A band of children from the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, hoping to save their homes from demolition, go on an adventure to find the buried treasure of One-Eyed Willie, a legendary 17th-century pirate.

Gates will open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at 8:30 p.m.  The cost will be $10 for adults, $5 for kids under 12, and kids 3 and under will be free.  Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets for watching the movie.  Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase. No outside food or beverages will be permitted.  CfAR t-shirts and beach towels will be available for purchase.  All proceeds will go to CfAR to protect beach access on the East End and to defend the current lawsuit affecting the stretch of beach on Napeague.
