Join us for the 17th Annual Montauk Art Show on the Green on August 19-21, 2011. Come be inspired by art that will enrich your life, your home and your place of work! The art festival will be located on the pastoral Village Green in downtown Montauk, NY. The event is hosted by the Montauk Artist Association, a not-for-profit artist organization headquartered at the Depot Gallery in the historical Long Island Railroad Montauk Station.
Kick off your shoes and stroll the cool grass of the Village Green, marveling at the beauty and creativity of the artists and their works. Journeying to Montauk for the fine art festival will be 84 artists from 16 states and overseas. Each artist will be exhibiting and selling their original artwork in such mediums as sculpting, painting, photography, jewelry, digital art, fiber and mixed-media. Add inestimable value to your purchase through meeting and coming to know the artist. Learn how their life’s path led them to becoming an artist, how they are inspired and how your specific purchase was created! Artists will be present for all hours of the festival.
Admission to the Montauk Art Show on the Green is FREE, as is parking. Come early, enjoy the coolness or the morning and have first choice of the artwork. Enjoy lunch in one of the many outstanding restaurants within a short walk of the Village Green. Then - return and enjoy again! Hours are Friday from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.rs While in Montauk do not forget to stop by the Depot Gallery located 1.5 mi. north on Edgemere/Hwy. 49 by the Long Island Railroad station to view the outstanding works of local Montauk artists.
