What's Ahead This Week: Hamptons Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K

Also: Art business seminar begins Monday and a budget vote for East Hampton Library set for Saturday.

Here's a quick look at the week ahead.

MONDAY
ART BUSINESS SEMINAR: A four-part business seminar for artists begins Monday at the Springs Community Church. Jane Martin, a multi-media artist for over 35 years will lead the class, the first of which will deal with consignments and contracts with galleries, invoicing clients and eliminating tax on art supplies with a resale certificate. Classes continue Sept. 27, Oct. 1 and Oct. 4.
CAC: The Springs Citizens Advisory Committee will meet at Ashwagh Hall at 7 p.m.
TUESDAY
YOM KIPPUR: The Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur begins at sunset on Tuesday evening. The holiday is Wednesday, and most will be off from school. For a full list of services in the area click here.
WEDNESDAY
FARMERS MARKET: The Route 27 Farmers Market continues each Wednesday, though Oct. 31, at the Amagansett Historical Association from 2 to 6 p.m. THURSDAY
MONTAUK FARMERS MARKET: Just a few more weeks for the Farmers Market on the Montauk Village Green. It is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 11.
FRIDAY
EAST HAMPTON FARMERS MARKET: Be sure to stop by for the last week of the farmers market in the parking lot of Nick & Toni's from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
PICKLE BALL: The Montauk Playhouse Community Center is hosting the latest workout craze on Fridays at 11 a.m. They'll supply the set up, paddles and balls. Plus, it's free. No need to register, just show up.
MUSIC FESTIVAL: The Sag Harbor American Music Festival opens at 8 p.m. with its main stage concert and fundraiser at Old Whalers Church featuring blues legend John Hammond. Tickets are $20.

SATURDAY
MARATHONS & 5K: The sixth annual Hamptons Marathon & Half Marathon to benefit Project MOST and Southampton Hospital will be held at 8 a.m., starting and ending at the Springs School. Registration is closed, but the runners need spectators to cheer them on. You can also run the  5K to benefit the East Hampton Day Care Center.
EAST HAMPTON LIBRARY BUDGET VOTE: Residents in East Hampton, Wainscott, and Springs School District may vote on the library budget from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Watch for more information later this week.
MUSEUM DAY: Guild Hall will open its doors free of charge along with over 1,400 other participating venues for the eighth annual Museum Day Live!, in which Guild Hall will emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C. Just download a Museum Day Live! ticket at Smithsonian.com/museumday. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
MUSIC FESTIVAL: Businesses throughout Sag Harbor Village will host a day of free music on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Among the performances are Escola De Samba BOOM at the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce Windmill at 11, Cassandra House, acoustic folk/alt-country/blues, at Geekhampton at 2, and Joe Delia & Thieves at Muse in the Harbor at 6.
