Weekend Planner: Macbeth Opens in Wainscott, Piano Concert in East Hampton

See what's happening over the weekend of Jan. 11 - 13.

Friday

MACBETH: The Round Table Theatre Company's presentation of William Shakespeare's "MACBETH" opens at LTV's Studio Three in Wainscott on Friday at 8 p.m. Continues Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m., and the following week on Jan. 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. Price: $25 for adults, $15 for students/seniors

"NEOTERIC SYMPOSIUM" and RECORD RELEASE: Neoteric Fine Art presents the "Neoteric Symposium," a show-and-tell of multiple presentations by local people on a variety of interesting topics. Based on the popular "PechaKucha" format, as presented by the Parrish Art Museum, the symposium will aim to provide a forum for ideas and introduce the people behind them. It starts at 7 p.m. Also, local singer and songwriter San Joaquin (aka Dan Asselin) will perform from his newly released album "Zeroisms," from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Price: A fundraiser for further aid to Hurricane Sandy charities, there is a suggested donation of $10.

Saturday

SEAL HIKE: Hikers meet at the Montauk Point Lighthouse concession building at 1 p.m. for the 2 to 3-hour long hike. Reservations are required. Price: $5 for adults, $3 for children 7 to 18, and free for children 6 and under.

PIANO CONCERT: Young virtuoso pianist Matthew Graybil will perform on a concert grand Yamaha piano at Hoie Hall at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. His recital, starting at 4 p.m., will consist of the imaginative and romantic works of Schubert, Liszt, Chopin and Brahms. Price: $20

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Springs Fire Department pancake breakfasts are back for the winter, 7 to 11 a.m. Price: $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for children 6 and under.
