2. Panel To Look at Mental Health Needs on the East End

Southampton Hospital will host what it hopes will be a community conversation next month about mental health needs on the East End. Sponsored with the East End Clinical Connection, panelists will address the issues of accessing mental health care. The panel is convening on Oct. 8 during National Mental Health Awareness Week, which is Oct. 6 to 12.

3. Cops: Driver Flown to Stony Brook Wrecked Corvette Driving Drunk

The driver airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital following an accident overnight on Monday has been charged with drunken driving, police said.
Alexis Rivera Narvez, 20, of East Hampton, was arrested on a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge, East Hampton Town Police Detective Lt. Chris Anderson said on Tuesday morning.

4. Montauk Reels In Inaugural Seafood Festival

Seafood lovers, rejoice: The first ever Montauk Seafood Festival is slated for this weekend. Presented by the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton and Montauk Friends of Erin, the groups hope to make this an annual celebration of Montauk's best commodity.

5. League of Women Voters Will Help Residents Register To Vote on Tuesday

On National Voter Registration Day next week, the League of Women Voters of the Hamptons will fan out across the South Fork in an attempt to get more residents at the polls this November.
