Two men from Old Westbury were charged Thursday as part of a nearly $100 million Ponzi scheme that involved funds to buy the Panoramic View Resort & Residences in Montauk, according to the US Attorney's office.

The Montauk Fire Department pulled their funds out of an investment, made with the Long Island mencharged in a $100 million Ponzi scheme on Thursday, in the nick of time, Chief Richard Schoen said.

The Rev. Msgr. Donald Hanson said that Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in East Hampton sent the teenaged parishioners — all girls — and five chaperones to World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro.
