Week Ahead: Paul Reiser at Bay Street, Antiques Show Kicks Off

Here's what is happening July 15 through July 19.

Here is what is happening Monday through Friday this week. Be sure to add your events to the calendar for the weekend and we'll do another roundup on Friday. 

MONDAY NIGHT DANCE CLASS: A light-hearted, full-bodied dance class offered on a donation basis by Jamie Lerner at the Body Shop.  Different music and dance styles each week: hip hop, Latin, jazz, gospel, funk and more.  Wear dance shoes, sneakers or go barefoot.  Put what you can in the basket after class. Classes starts at 5:45 p.m.

Paul Reiser at Bay Street: Stand-up comedian, actor, and writer Paul Reiser will perform at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. Price: $69 

Tuesday

First Story Time: For caregivers and their children through 4 years old, the Amagansett Library offers stories, flannel boards, puppets, songs, and tons of fun in a setting sure to promote early literacy skills at 10 a.m.

Wednesday

Photography Class for Hampton Moms: Karilyn Sanders of Wonderland Photo will present an exclusive workshop for Hampton Moms at Neoteric Fine Art in Amagansett at 11 a.m.

Reading and Craft: Susan Verde gives us a joyful romp through her book, "The Museum" at 3:30 p.m. To continue the art experience, attendees will receive, gratis the Parrish Art Museum, Free Family Passes which include entry and a tour of the Museum for 5 p.m. on Friday. 

KidFEST Hands-On Arts & Crafts Workshop – Batter Up!: Students will tour Guild Hall's "They Played in the Game: Artists & Writers Exhibition" then design their very own baseball jerseys with team colors and logos. For ages 5 and up. Price
$10/$8 members per workshop.

Tween Movie: Iron Man 2: Drop-off program for Tweens ages 8-12 at the Amagansett Library at 6 p.m.

Time Exposure: Where Time Comes From with Richard Kostura: With a backdrop of colorful and interesting visual aids clockmaker, poet, writer, and inventor, Richard M. Kostura will give a talk at the Ross School from 6:3o to 8 pm. Price: $50.

Guild Hall presents 'Tonight' at 8:30 by Noel Coward: An Evening of Three Light and Musical Comedies starring Blythe Danner and Simon Jones, directed by Tony Walton, opens Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. It will be shown Tuesdays through Sundays through Aug. 3 at 8:30 p.m. and Aug. 4 at 2 p.m.

Thursday

Designer Trunk Show: By Moms For Moms and Hampton Racquet Club in Wainscott present a Designer Trunk Show with part of the proceeds going toward The Retreat. Designers include Thakoon, VPL, Lilla P, Jewelry by Matt, and more. It will be held Thursday and Friday from 9 to 5 p.m.

Family Movie: "Brave" will be shown in the Amagansett Library at 3:30 p.m. 

"OUT OF BALANZ" Summer Party & Live Theater Bash!: Mingle with fellow comedy-theater enthusiasts at an oceanside summer party for a 45-minute original comedy. Price: $60

Friday 

Women's SURF CAMPS at Main Beach Surf & Sport: Join Main Beach for new women's surf camps Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon all summer. Price:  $125 per session.  

Hamptons Sara Hadassah Annual Luncheon: The annual Jewish Center of the Hamptons' luncheon will honor Cantor Debra Stein at East Hampton Point, starting at 11:30 a.m. Register with Toni Somerstein ahead of time.

Preview Cocktail Party Kicks off 2013 East Hampton Antiques: The East Hampton Historical Society will kick off the annual East Hampton Antiques Show on the historic grounds of Mulford Farm with a cocktail party at 6 p.m. Price: Tickets to the Friday night Opening Preview Party start at $150 and enable returns visits to the Antiques Show the following days.  Junior Tickets (age 40 and under) are priced at $100. 

ACCABONAC PROTECTION COMMITTEE SHOWS "GRASSLANDS": The seventh in the Accabonac Protection Committee’s LONG LIVE ACCABONAC film series, "Grasslands" will debut on Friday at the Springs Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m.
