Want to Thank Someone Special? Post a 'Thank You' Announcement on Patch

This Thanksgiving, share your gratitude with the Patch community.

Maybe it's a teacher or coach who helped your child achieve a goal. Maybe it's a local business owner who helps you get what you need all year long. Maybe it's a volunteer fire department that came to the rescue, or the electrician who helped you regain power following Superstorm Sandy.

Whomever it may be, why not express your gratitude in a special way? You can post a "Thank You" announcement on Patch. With Thanksgiving approaching, it's a great way to show someone you care.

Here's how to post an announcement on Patch:

1. Log in to your Patch account, or create a new user account by clicking here.
2. Visit our Announcements page by clicking here.
3. Click "Add an Announcement" on the right side of the page. Follow the steps and be sure to select "Thank You" as the category.
4. Click "Post My Announcement" at the bottom of the page, and it's live.

On Thanksgiving, we'll collect everyone's "Thank You" notes into one big article for the whole community to see.

From East Hampton Patch to you, "thank you" for posting your "thank you" announcement.

We definitely want to thank our neighbor Roger, for helping us get rid of a zillion contractor bags full of yard debris, that my darling husband raked and hauled up from the backyard that fell off the trees and washed up from the creek during the storm. It was a lot faster and easier to haul it all away in Roger's truck, than little by little in the trunk of our cars!

And I want to thank all the people in my community - the Hands Creek Harbor Property Owners Association - for the mass emails ... everyone who lives here full-time or on weekends pitched in to check on each other's homes and report back about everything from trees down to the power/cable/trash situation! Yay for community spirit and caring!
