Veterans Day Observance in East Hampton, a Reminder to Say 'Thank You'

Retired and active military turned out for a ceremony on the Village Green.

About a dozen veterans marched in the annual on Thursday morning. The group included Naval Petty Officer 2nd Class Angelique Williams, a sailor who had just come home from Iraq two weeks ago, and former New York State Assemblyman and Vietnam veteran John Behan.

The short parade started in front of and ended at the Memorial Village Green. Sponsored by the , member Richard Haeg gave a short speech, asking the community to thank those veterans returning home.
