SLIDESHOW: Soldier Ride Riders Sweep Through Sag Harbor

Photos from this year's Soldier Ride.

The 9th annual Soldier Ride bicycle trek took over the town of Sag Harbor today. With temperatures reaching nearly 90 degrees and the longer course route of 60 miles cancelled, nearly 1000 riders— some veterans and others just supportive community members— came out to show their support. This year’s Soldier Ride, a four day cycling event put on by the Wounded Warrior Project, was held in the memory of Marine Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter of Sag Harbor, who was killed at the age of 19 protecting his fellow marines in Ramadi Iraq in 2008.
