PHOTOS: Grand Marshal Toasted at Luncheon

Festivities for the Montauk Friends of Erin St. Patrick's Day parade began on Friday.

With the Montauk Friends of Erin luncheon on Friday, the St. Patrick's Day weekend has officially begun.

Jack Perna, the grand marshal of the 51st annual St. Patrick's Day, was the center of attention for the occasion, which was was held at Gurney's Inn in Montauk.

The festivities continue Saturday with the annual gala cocktail party at Gurney's Inn from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a buffet, open bar and a live band with Billy and the Barfights.
