PHOTO: Cygnet Grows Bigger

There is only one cygnet at Town Pond this year.

Since we reported that there was a cygnet at Town Pond in East Hampton Village, we have had several inquiries about how he was doing, being the lone cygnet at the pond this year.

Steven Tekulsky, the village's unofficial commissioner of swans, told us Thursday that "Hook," as he named him in honor of his birthplace, Hook Pond, is doing just fine. He's growing bigger, and stronger, each day under the watchful eye of his mother, Tekulsky reported.

If you have pictures of Hook or any other cygnets around town, feel free to email them to Taylor.Vecsey@patch.com and we'll post on Patch.

Have you gone down to see Hook yet? Leave a comment below.
