Photo: After Dramatic Rescue, Dock Restaurant Lightens the Mood

A little joke from John Aldridge's friends in Montauk.

Wednesday was a harrowing day in Montauk as the Coast Guard and fishermen searched the waters for a missing fisherman who went overboard from his lobster boat overnight.

When John Aldridge — known as Johnny Load to his friends — was found alive, having tread water for nearly 12 hours, Montauk rejoiced.

In true Montauk fashion, his friend gave some levity to the situation with an amusing note on the chalkboard outside of the Dock restaurant, near where Aldridge's boat, the Anna Mary, calls home.

Check out this video from the Coast Guard of part of Aldridge's dramatic rescue.
