Nov. 5: Lots to See at East Hampton High School

Support the sports teams and then stay for "I Remember Mama."

Before the weekend starts, take in some sure to be good games at East Hampton High School today, and then stay for the student play.

1. The rain caused the  Varsity boys soccer playoff match to be rescheduled on Thursday, so today they will take on Islip at 2:30 p.m. Hopefully the rain will hold off long enough to allow them to play safely and advance to the next round.

2. The undefeated girls volleyball team starts its playoff season today, with a at 5 p.m. in the high school gym. They are looking to defend a perfect record of 14 - 0 this season. They deserve our community support. Best of luck, ladies.

3. opens tonight at the Sag Harbor Cinema at 6. The film is narrated by Dustin Hoffman and features Sandy Koufax,  Al Rosen, Yogi Berra, Kevin Youkilis, Shawn Green, and Ron Howard. It's an interesting film for anyone who loves the sport. It runs for a week, except for Tuesday and Wednesday.

4.  opens at the high school tonight. The student-run production runs all weekend with performances tonight and Saturday night at 7, and a matinee performance on Sunday at 3 p.m. See more information in  of the play.

5. Lastly, how many of you went to the public hearing on the East Hampton Town Board's proposed 2011 budget last night? For those of you who did, does anyone think their ought to be better lighting on the walkway into the parking lot?
