Nov. 29: Step Away from the Computer on Cyber Monday

Take a break from looking for deals, give blood and work your abs.

Yes, we know, it's Cyber Monday and you're busy scouring the Web for the best deals. Just in case you break for a bit, here are some activities around town.

1. Today is the first of many blood drives being held around town. The will host a from noon until 7:15 p.m. Members will provide refreshments and snacks. 

2. If you can't make it down to the legion today, check out our calendar of events for other blood drives. The will host a blood drive on Dec. 14, and the Bridgehampton Fire Department is hosting one on .

3. The will host another in a series on the Book of First Kings. Rabbi Sheldon Zimmerman will lead a lesson on grammar, history, language, politics, and historical origins in the house to the west of the Jewish Center starting at 9:30 a.m. Hebrew is required for the class.

4. Ate a bit too much over the Thanksgiving holiday? Check out the class at the . Lisa Farber, a professional trainer, leads a small class with lots of personal attention in the community room on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. The class is $20.

5. East Hampton Patch plans to help you get through the holidays this season. Our holiday guides will run today through New Year's. We'll break the season down for you from the charities in need of donations to the best places to get wrapping paper and from where to get your holiday meal catered to what's open on Christmas Day.
