Nov. 16: Buy a Cookie, Ship a Box, and Take in a Show

One of the fantastic things about living in East Hampton Town is that there is always so much going on. You can dive into history, donate your time to give back to others hundreds of miles of way, or take in a high school student show. Here's a rundown of what's going on today:

1. Deep roots abound on the South Fork. No where was that evident more than at the on Saturday. The congregation there celebrated its 150th anniversary on the very day the church was founded. Look for that story later today on East Hampton Patch.

2.  is hosting the  from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Karma Kids, a not-for-profiit organizations is raising money through a bake sale and holiday card sale for Wings Over Haiti, a grassroots organization that brings clean water and food to victims of the earthquake in haiti. Former Haitian Ambassador Raymond Joseph will be on hand.

3. The third annual  is taking place tonight at the Bridgehampton School between 6:30 - 8:30. Sponsored by the Bridgehampton Parent-Teacher Organization, anyone can come to the gym to help fill and wrap boxes to be shipped to needy children living in over 36 countries. Bring shoe boxes, any old holiday wrapping paper, and any item you chose to pack the  boxes. The P.T.O. has requested $7 for each box wrapped.

4. For some musical relief, take a seat at the 's annual . Ross students will perform from each of the high school performing arts electives; Jazz band, chorus, chamber ensemble, hip-hop dance, jazz dance and modern dance duet.  There is no admission fee.
