Photos: Meet the Cygnets of 2012

Only three baby swans have arrived at Town Pond in East Hampton Village this year.

A little late, and with fewer than last year, the new cygnets have arrived at Town Pond in East Hampton Village.

Dubbed the Commissioner of Swans, Steven Tekulsky wrote East Hampton Patch with the good news on Tuesday that the baby swans made an appearance. "Moe, Larry and Curley," as he called them ("Larry is the one with what appears to be a bald spot in the middle of his (her?) head," Tekulsky wrote).

They were first seen in the pond on May 20, about a week later than usual — visitors to Town Pond usually catch a glimpse of the cute little ones by Mother's Day. They nest on Hook Pond and, when the cygnets are big enough , they all waddle over to Town Pond, Tekulsky said.
