May 18: Budget Round-Up, Celebrating Art in Springs

3. Congressman Tim Bishop, D-Southampton, advocated for the emergency dredging of the Montauk Lake inlet and the . Bishop said on Tuesday that the dredging will begin as early as late September -- more than two years earlier than the Army Corps of Engineers planned.

4. The Hamptons and North Fork Realtors Association will host a free networking event at Sherwood House Vineyards over on the North Fork in Jamesport from 4 to 7 p.m. Douglas C. Sinski, an attorney, will be answering real estate questions.

5. There will be an opening reception for the featuring original work Springs School students from kindergarten through 8th grade . It will be held at from 5 to 7 p.m. The artwork will also be on view on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
