May 16: Last Minute Opinions on the Elections

This is the beginning of an important week due to school elections throughout New York State. Let's start it off right . . .

1. School elections are just one day away. Any last minute voices of support for candidates can be submitted in a Letter to the Editor by e-mailing Taylor.Vecsey@patch.com. We'd be happy to publish them. Check out East Hampton School Board member George Aman's for .

2. East Hampton Patch is still accepting applications for bloggers. If you're interested, contact us. We've got some great bloggers already sharing their thoughts with the community. What do you have to say?

3. May 15 through May 21 is National EMS Week. We have some great volunteers in the fire and emergency medical services field (, Eddie Downes, Mary Mott, Jimmy Walker, Judy Edwards, just to name a few I know). Do you have a story to share about one an EMS volunteer? E-mail me, and we'll post your story to show your appreciation.

4. The 2011 to be held at at 7 p.m. There will be a wine and cheese reception first and then democrats will officially nominate for town offices.

5.  An encore screening of , the first in 2011's Reel Judaism Festival Films at , will be shown on Monday night at 7. It is about 13,000 French Jews, who in 1942 were arrested by French police who supported the German occupiers.
