May 13: Go Around the World at Springs School and Check Out Members Exhibit

For the start of the weekend, there's plenty to do.

The weekend is finally here and there's plenty to do. Hopefully this gorgeous weather will hold up.

1. Having opened last weekend, the is on view on Friday through June 11. is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (and throughout the weekend).

2. Patti Leber is running for third term on the Board and we'll bring you her candidate profile on Friday, just in time for the election on Tuesday.  She is running unopposed.

3. started on Thursday night and will be getting into full swing on Friday. There are performances at and many other places, so be sure to check the festival calendar for more shows -- there are plenty.

4.  will host a multicultural festival on Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be foods, entertainment and activities from around the world for students and community members to enjoy. It's free to attend -- just bring a non-perishable food donation for the Springs Food Pantry.

5. If you are looking for a movie to watch, The Picture Show at has a classic for you. starring Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft starts at 8. The movie can be coupled with the "dinner and a movie" prix-fixe at the . Incidentally, Bancroft's sister is , who is running for Springs School Board.
