Friends Preview New Mary's Marvelous

Mary Schoenlein unveils her second location in East Hampton Village.

On Friday, Mary Schoenlein gave foodies a sneak-peak at , which won't be open for a few more weeks. 

Sandwich boards and shelving still need to be finished in the new spaces at 107 and 105 Newtown Lane in East Hampton Village, but Schoenlein wanted to let supporters see the new spaces before Labor Day. Hors d’oeuvres, mini sandwiches popcorn, and bite sized baked goods were served. 

Schoenlein also owns the original  in Amagansett, a sandwich and pastry shop that just celebrated its 10th anniversary. She leased the spaces on Newtown Lane, one of which was formerly , before it closed after 33 years in March.

Pamela Bicket, a Springs architect working on the design of the two spaces, said under East Hampton Village code the space that had been used as the Halsey McKay Gallery could not be used in the same way as the former Bucket's Deli space, but instead will be a place to sell pre-packaged baked goods and sandwiches. It will also be a "dry" gift store, where they plan to sell cookies, granola, gift boxes, high end coffee, and more.

In addition, Mary's Marvelous will be expanding its online offerings as well.
