Lauder Wants To Rebuild Dunes Where House Destroyed in Sandy

27East reports that Ronald Lauder hasn't decided yet whether he will rebuild the oceanfront cottage that was destroyed.

Ronald Lauder, a philanthropist from the Estée Lauder cosmetics family, hasn't decided yet if he will rebuild his family's oceanfront cottage in Wainscott that was destroyed in Superstorm Sandy.

27East reports this week that Lauder has plans to rebuild the dunes that were destroyed during the October storm.

East Hampton attorney William Fleming, who is representing Lauder, told 27East that the family wants to see the dune restored to protect all properties along ocean and Wainscott Pond.

Once the sea takes it it becomes a coastal erosion zone? No permit should be given .. It's obvious what will happen again in a similar storm .. No permit .. No matter who you are and how much money you have .. No to building again ..... Save the beaches from overbuilding ... Set a example here .. Make sure saving our beachfront is the agenda.
