Last Chance: Sign-Up for Dog Obedience 101

Do you and your faithful friend need to get back to the basics? Learn leash handling, commands and more at ARF's classes.

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week East Hampton Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.

This weekend, a new round of dog obedience 101 and intermediate classes begin at the in Wainscott. It's a great way for dogs and their handlers to learn some new tricks.

The five-week course goes over basic obedience using positive reinforcement techniques, such as leash handling, turning techniques and commands like stay/stand, sit/stay, down/stay, leave it, come, and more.
