June 17: On The Air with Bonnie Grice, Leon Russell Performs

Plus, Colin Quinn's run at Guild Hall continues.

It may be another rainy day on Friday, but don't fret. There's so much going on, we can hardly believe it's just June. 

1. I'm on the air with Bonnie Grice at Peconic Public Broadcasting 88.3 FM on Friday morning after 9. Along with Dawn Watson, editor of the Arts and Residences section of papers, and Annette Hinkle, the features editor at The Sag Harbor Express, we'll be talking news, what's going on in the arts scene and more. Please tune in.

2. The kicks off in the wee morning hours. Weigh-ins are public, so stop on by if you want to see some fierce looking sharks on the docks.

3. , Colin Quinn's comedic history of the world in 75 minutes, continues it's run at this weekend. Check the calendar for times and ticket prices. It's a must see. We also hear Quinn will join Bonnie Grice after the Media Mavens on Friday morning. 

4. Camela Ciuraru will discuss "What's in a name?" and sign her book Nom de Plume: A (Secret) History of Pseudonymns at in East Hampton. The event is free and open to all. It begins at 8 p.m.

5. Rock & Roll Hall of Famer hits the stage at on Friday night. The performance starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $65 for general admission, $80 for VIP.
