July 1: On the Air, Rockin' To Renovate

The July Fourth Weekend has officially arrived.

Can you believe it's July 1 already? June seemed to fly by and here we are at the July Fourth holiday weekend in the Hamptons. Are your ready? 

1. Before we get the weekend started, I'm on the air with the Bonnie Grice on Peconic Public Broadcasting 88.3. We'll be talking about what's ahead for the holiday weekend and more. Please tune-in just after 9 a.m. We all appreciate the support. 

2. Need a bathing suit for the weekend?  will hold a Swim Trunk Show at  in East Hampton featuring lots of swimsuits for your poolside weekend or day at the beach from 5 to 8 p.m.

3. will be playing in Sag Harbor on Friday evening. Guitarists Matt Marshak and Bridgehampton's own Kenny Harris will play along Kenny's brother Rodney Harris on drums at from 5 to 8 p.m. Full disclosure: Kenny and Rodney are my boyfriend's cousins (and they're pretty good!). 

4. The is holding a 10 day exhibit at , starting with an opening reception on Friday night. The artists will be at the reception for a meet and greet from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will be open each day from 12 to 6 p.m.

5. Local musicians are in Sag Harbor on Friday night. The benefit will be used to improve and maintain the church building, which is used by many community groups like the Sag Harbor Food Pantry. Admission is $20.
